Service Description:
The historic Wormbridge school building is the unique setting of Bridges Childcare. Set amongst glorious farmland, yet within easy access of Hereford, Abergavenny (A465) and many smaller villages, the location is ideal for children to experience natural, healthy surroundings whilst being convenient to reach.

Bridges is managed by Rose Lloyd. Bridges Childcare is staffed by professional, qualified, dedicated and experienced carers. Each of the staff have had police checks and very good references, they are also encouraged and keen to take up new training in areas that will benefit your children.

We offer fun, quality time and activities to stimulate and educate all children in a welcoming homely atmosphere.

Bridges Childcare and its staff work as a support to your parenting and together with other childcare professionals in the community such as Speech therapists, Health Visitors and Teachers aim to ensure every child develops to his or her full potential through varied, exciting 'play to learn' activities.

All activities promote global learning through play as advocated by the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children will be offered fun; stimulating educational play and creative activities throughout their time with us, with opportunity for free play and quiet relaxing times as well as outside play in our safe extensive grounds, gardens and playgrounds.

As parents you have the opportunity to join in if you wish and are welcome to stay. Your child's welfare and development are something we share and this is valued. We plan, promote and record your child's learning together, informally or by appointment.

We encourage supervised interaction with other members of the community to increase knowledge and experiences of the world around us. For example the fire-service, police, musicians, teachers from the local infant classes and the mobile library visit too! We have art and gardening sessions, cookery and a lot more! With your consent we also make trips to local places of interest and explore the beautiful countryside in which our premises are based.
