Lollipops is situated in Newtown Road, the setting is central and easily accessible. Opening 5 days per week from 07.00-18.00, the setting is registered for 86 children per day. All staff hold early years qualifications; the pre-school is managed by Russell Watkins who holds early years teacher status with the remiaining staff in the pre-school room holding level 5 and level 6 qualifications. In the 3 year old room the satff are all level 3 qualified with a further early years teacher also in situ. Creche and baby room staff all hold a level 3 qualification and all have specialised training with working with babies.
We are fortunate to have a large outside garden area which we use to further enhance the children's learning experiences. There is a vegetable garden area where the children help to plant, nurture and eat their home produce! A recently installed under 2s play area complete with safety flooring enables the toddlers and babies to explore. A sunken sandpit holds a wealth of opportunities for the toddlers to tip, pour, sieve and bury treasure! A recently installed water area, fully equipeed with guttering, pump, water table and various pots and utensils encourgaes thought, awe and wonder!
