Service Description:
St Thomas Cantilupe School is pleased to be able to provide the children of our school and nursery the opportunity to attend Breakfast Club and After School Club. These clubs may be attended on a full time or a part time basis. The sessions can be booked in blocks over extended periods of time or as and when required, however places are subject to availability. Bookings for clubs are made through School Money and must be booked in advance. This childcare provision is an extension of St Thomas Cantilupe School and therefore operates in line with the school’s ethos and values. Our Wraparound Care Clubs provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children before and after school.

Currently our staff/pupil ratios allow for 25 children to attend Breakfast Club and 25 children to attend After School Club. All sessions are run by fully trained members of staff and run throughout the school week during term time. Clubs run from our dedicated wraparound room in the school library, with additional space available in the school hall and outdoor playground. We offer a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, and quiet time, ensuring children are happy, active, and supported.

Breakfast Club is available from 7.50am and costs £4.00. After School Club is available from 3.15 - 4.15pm for nursery children and 3.15 - 5.15pm for pupils from Reception Class to Year 6 and costs £5.00 per hour.

Our Wraparound Care staff are aware of the School Food Standards and has received the required training in Food Hygiene. Both the Breakfast and After School care team will provide food that meets the School Food Standards. The team will provide for those children who have food allergies, intolerances or other food requirements such as restricted diets. Breakfast Club provide options such as bread/toast with assorted spreads, low-sugar cereal and semi-skimmed milk. Water will be available along with milk. The After School team will provide food options which may include cheese and biscuits, toasties, fruit and/or vegetable sticks. Water will be available along with milk.
