We provide children with a safe and secure enabling environment both inside and out, where children are able to experience exciting enjoyable activities. Children are encouraged to manage risk themselves and risk assess the environment inside and outside. We have incorporated a mud kitchen into the outside environment, and we change around recyclable materials to enhance the outdoor area, e.g. drain pipes for cars, balls or water play, saucepans and frying pans with wooden spoons to experiment with sound. The setting also engages in forest school activities with our trained forest school lead. The setting has wheelchair access; there is also a disabled adult’s toilet. The setting supports children with additional needs and or disabilities. We take children from 9 months to 4 years in the pre-school. |
