| Service Description: | I offer a home from home environment with all my work being based in the downstairs section of my home, where there are lots of toys on offer, small world, wooden loose parts and a sensory garden. We do painting, playdough and cooking. I take the children on trips to castles’, caves, butterfly parks, walks in the woods as well trips to the parks, Play Planet and meeting other with other childminders at various children’s groups.
I am part of the Herefordshire Childminders Association (HCMA) and we have put on events for the children like puppet shows, a falconry display, messy play, Christmas parties, Dinophonics and Little Notes.
I am based north Hereford near Whitecross and Trinity school and my highest qualification to date is my BA (hons) in Childhood Studies. I am also a level 4 accredited ELKLAN setting. I have been a childminder for the last sixteen years.
In 2020 at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, I set up and ran the Childminding Hub with four other childminders providing care for vulnerable and key worker children through the Pandemic when other settings were closed. I have also been an area lead and mentor for other childminders across the UK, offering support with my team of four other mentors
running through 2023 - 2024.

I want to ensure the children in my care have a safe, happy and educational time with me learning through their different play experiences and making friends with both the other children I care for and meeting other people through our day to day life together.
At the end of yours child’s time with me, you will get their learning journey which tracks their progress against the EYFS as well as it being filled with photos of your child’s time with me and the things that we have been busy doing together.
