Service Description:Welcome to St Joseph’s Nursery. As professionals, parents and carers we all want the best for children in our care. Here at St Joseph’s we are committed to providing quality child care and education for all children from 2- 4 years.
St Joseph’s provides a safe, happy and stimulating environment. Independence, self-confidence, consideration for others and good manners are encouraged. Our school''s golden rule is:
“Treat others as you would like to be treated”.
Our Christian ethos ensures all are welcome. Kindly note, children do not need to be Catholic to join our school community but we ask for your support in promoting Christian values which lay the foundations for lifelong learning.
Each child is special and unique and as such we recognise different individual needs. Children learn best when praised, valued and encouraged. At St Joseph’s the journey of learning and discovery is fresh, exciting and fun! Our qualified, experienced and caring team use carefully planned activities to create a nurturing, stimulating and playful environment, fostering independence and creativity in our young learners.
We have our own purpose-built setting, which opened in April 2021, with a sensory room and garden, as well as our own playground and bike track! We also take full advantage of the school’s other facilities; the playing field, forest school area, sports hall and children’s kitchen!
As part of our school community Nursery children are included in regular whole school events, such as Super Hero Day, British Values week and many more, which not only supports their social development but also encourages a smooth transition from Nursery to Main school.
We offer year-round provision so children can come into Nursery during the school holidays as well as term-time and accept children with 2 year old funding and 30 hour funding.
If you would like to find out more, please arrange to come and see our Nursery in action! We look forward to welcoming you.
